The workaround that I do to succeed it, goes like this:
1- First you load your source to avidemux and you add the subs you wish to hardsub. You save the new file to Mjpeg with 90 or more quality.

Peace... Trying to create a splash screen for my dvd? - I am having some problems trying to create a splash screen for my dvd. I am using flash and i am trying to play the movie through a button. How can I do this? I tried using the fscommand("exec", "video_ts/video_ts.ifo"), but that is not working. The logic behind it doesn't make sense since on the actually dvd i have a menu running but i was running ... please help me with image grabber II (class not registered) error - It works sometimes looks like you have something elese worng with your computer... VirtualDub can't open my mpg from camcorder - Just to add, that there is also the ultra stable Virtualdub mpeg2

Install it to the later Virtualdub versions (1.8.1 or later) and can do your job easy.... Best format for MiniDV convertion (Mpeg2 or H264) - H264 is the future. Mpeg 2 is the bigger part of the present.
Mpeg 2 on a superbit DVD with the highest possible bitrate (9800kb/s) wasn't always enough to keep the 100% of the DV picture quality. And that shows mostly on big LCD TV Screens (42"+ ).
H264 on around 6.000kb/s is capable to hold the 100% of DVs picture quality. Probably even 4.5 ... Transfering audio signal form audiotape player to PC - No, you would have to do that manually. If there is silence between the tracks, you should be able to see that on the time line and that should make it easy to find the individual tracks.... WAV audio error using AVISynth scripts - I am following a tutorial of H.264. I am getting a error with the WAV sound in my scripts. Would my script be right? When I look at the list of codecs for GSpot , there are like 150 of the most bizarre things I've never heard of why does it come with all of that dross but not MPEG-2?
And why do I want that particular one? Is it "the" offic ... audio sync problem with HDTV .m2t to mp4 - I also have desynchronized sound with most conversions I make.
Usually it's avi to mp4 (see attached preset), I check Decode with QT to force both audio and video conversion.
last.ffx ... MKVs and subtitles freezing problem - I have a weird issue when I try to play files in MKV containers that DON'T have subtitles embedded in WMP11 . The audio plays, but after a few seconds, the video freezes, and remains frozen. I can move through the seek bar to different points in the video, and an updated image will be shown, but the video image still remains frozen while the aud ... New here and I have ha couple of issues with DVP5990_12_vb6_v6:
* Filename length nowhere near 40+ chrs, more like 20 or there about.
* Black colour in subs is a bright pink
* goto does not relate to time but to file
Can't figure out why this is. Any ideas?
It's nothing wrong with this firmware!!! If you don't know how ... how do I eliminate subs completely from a mkv file? - If you plug 24000/1001 into a calculator, you get 23.976 which is the rate used in Hollywood film
In future, you could also check with mediainfo (view=>text) on the .mkv file (e.g. it might have been a NTSC camcorder video, 29.97 fps or PAL video (25FPS) )

I am using Sony Movie Studio 9 Pro Pack. Is it correct that you can't change the bitrate, if you render to mpeg2? A friend of mine uses Vegas Pro. There you can change it.
Or do I have to buy a seperate plugin?

Make a DVD? Or are you trying to make a Divx7 video from a DVD? FitCD is a good place to get started with resizing.
