Terrorist Attacks in India - The recent terrorist attack in India demonstrates the importance of hotel security for foreigners abroad.
On November 27, 2008 a group of terrorists entered several hotels in Mumbai and opened fire on several people inside. The terrorists also held many of the guests hostage inside for several hours.
Once the police apprehended and interrogated the terrorists, they found that the terrorists targeted the hotel because they knew that many of the guests were foreigners from the United States and Great Britain. One of the witnesses inside later informed police that the terrorists were specifically seeking out foreigners from these countries during the attack.
This was a well planned attack against a hotel which specifically targeted foreigners in India.
Foreigners abroad must take several precautions when choosing lodging in a foreign country.
Remember to choose hotels with adequate security. This includes security measures such as security guards and cameras.

Ryanair made a bid for Aer Lingus in 2006 and it was thought that one reason was that it would give the airline a transatlantic capability. When he announced the latest Company Report he also gave his view on the state of the airline industry.
He has always said that the time when there will be very few airlines operating is even closer. He expects Ryanair to be able to pick up wide bodied aircraft cheaply and offer flights to the USA for 10 (not including taxes and charges :roll: ). Business class will be offered but at very high prices.

Aaron.... Venice drying up? - Whilst we get reports of floods here at home (I'm in Cumbria), did you know that the same can't be said of Venice right now? Falling canal levels in Italy's famous city of canals have left boat docks hanging in mid-air and gondolas high and dry. Warm weather and unusually low tides mean that only the Grand Canal, Venice's biggest and most famous waterway, is still able to take water traffic. Is there anyone out there that can confirm the current situation?

Nowadays Kitchen-Travel is quite fashionable, so I think to start Alcohol Travel. If people visit Amsterdam to smoke weed, maybe they start visit Poland for drinking our pure Wodka?.... Las Vegas - During the week of 13 October, I had to work in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. I didn't have much time most days to do any exploring, but I didn't have to work on Friday, 17 October, so I spent most of the day walking around taking photos.
I had dinner one evening at the buffet in the Bellagio and the place was beautiful, so I decided to start there.
Here is a portion of the lobby. The ceiling contains 2000 hand-blown flowers, Fiori di Como, created by world-renowned artist, Dale Chihuly.
He is the first American glassblower to work in the Venini Fabrica workshop on the island of Murano.

Here is a photo of the outside of the Bellagio.... Is anyone stuck in Bangkok at the moment? - I'm going to Thailand in two weeks and was hoping that people might be able to tell me whats going on at the moment.
Have been reading the news but know that it's always a little different if you are there.
Was wondering if anyone is stuck there, changing their plans because of the current situation, or is currently living in Thailand and could give me a heads up to what is actually happening.
